Mathews Monster Chill R is looking like it will surpass your expectations and be a dynamic force for your next hunting season. We were able to get a jump start on the Bow this year to bring it to you early. Mountain Archery in Rexburg Idaho allowed us to shoot and run a thorough review.

Here is what we found….

The 2014 Mathews Monster Chill R is similar to the 2013 Mathews Monster Chill. Mathews added a little bling, smoothed up the shot and made less recoil and noise. This past season Hank shot a bow from a different company. As he pulled this bow back he said, “holy cow this thing is smooth to pull”. Then as Hank released the arrow, he couldn’t believe how quiet it was. Awesome Bow!! The third thing he noticed was that the bow was extremely light in weight.

LIGHT BOW + NO RECOIL + NO NOISE + CRAZY AMOUNT OF KINETIC ENERGY = DEAD BULL!!!

027

We were shooting a Easton Injexion 330 Arrow that weighed 446.3 grains (with the field tip). We shot this bow three times and the average speed was 282 fps. Performing the Kinetic Energy math this arrow has 78.78 ft/lbs.
